I got it working. What would be the line I would need to put just to have the category drop down menu all of the time - not any "if" statements attached to it. Thanks - !!

What email addy should I use? I did send you an email once. Maybe I sent it to the wrong place? That's the only one that appears not to work. Really, no lie! :)

Like I said I just put the absolute URL in for the logo, but would like the gravatars to show up. I've just disabled that feature for now. But will gladly accept a new file to see if that does help.

One more question - I copied this code to the top of the page:
<?php if (function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && dynamic_sidebar(1) ) : else : ?>

 <?php endif; ?>

	</div><!--/grid_3 alpha-->

	<div class="grid_3 omega">

 <?php if (function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && dynamic_sidebar(3) ) : else : ?>

 <?php endif; ?>

and it works great in Internet Explorer but Firefox it doesn't.

As soon as I get this fixed I should be ready to roll.

Hi Doktoras,

After you have made sure the permalink structure is set up correctly following what mjepson has written:

1. Go to Settings -> Permalinks
2. Select Custom structure and put: /%postname%/
3. Now you should have a permalink right under your title when you edit pages.

You should navigate to, or create, your archives page and directly below the title is Permalink. You will see an edit button in the right of it. Click that and then change the permalink to "archives" or something similar.

Then navigate to the Premium News Theme options and paste the permalink that you just made into the “Archives Page” field.

That should do the trick.

Hi JasonB,

Porting the slideshow being used in wpelements into the Gazette Edition will require quite a bit of work.

You will need to investigate whether the slideshow being used in wpelements uses the same javascript framework that we have used. If it is different it could cause a conflict.

The files you would need to edit would be includes/featured.php and possibly one of the js files in includes/js/ folder.

I'm afraid this query falls out of our support contract, as it is a custom development of the theme.

Unfortunately this is not possible with the current version of Live Wire. You can only exclude particular categories from the middle column.

I will investigate this further though and see if it can be included in a future release.

Within the theme options in the backend, change the number of "Home Page Entries". This will change the number of posts in the left main column.

The middle column defaults to display one post from each category, so exclude the id of the categories you don't want displayed here.

yes its either that or to show all posts including the featured below. Since there is a "featured" tab in the sidebar, there shouldn't be a need for a post below, but if you really want it you can remove the excluding of the featured category, but then you will have duplicates.

Lisa - Please drop us an e-mail and I will replace your template files, as there is no reason why only the green_brightblue stylesheet won't work.

Basically - you would simply need to stick to the aspect ratio of the images (100x57 pixels or multiples thereof) you upload, as the image resizer will always crop from the middle outwards. If however you stick to that aspect ratio, you won't lose any detail...

@milan - You are experiencing a whole different problem... :) The images you specified is not being found (see: this link). This is a problem we've experienced on some hosting servers and in all instances the web host has been able to resolve it by giving you the exact relative path (to the image) you should be using. It is thus not a theme-related problem! :)
